Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (ABC) Limited, a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking, is introducing “BharatiScheme for Education After SSC” (BS-EA10) and “Bharati Scheme for education after Intermediate” (BS-EA12) for the poor Brahmin students in Andhra Pradesh.
“BharatiScheme for Education After SSC” (BS-EA10)
• Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) shall be paid to the selected applicants through the prescribed process, as one time financial assistance. It is a merit cum means scheme.
• Scope: This scheme is applicable for students of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts, who passed their SSC examination in May 2015, with Grade B2 and above.
• Eligibility: Should have appeared for SSC examination in any of the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh State in March 2015 and obtained Grade B2 and above in the SSC Public Examination 2015. Should have got admission in Junior College / Polytechnic / ITI, etc, in Andhra Pradesh.
“Bharati Scheme for education after Intermediate” (BS-EA12)
• Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen thousand only) shall be paid to the selected applicants as one time financial assistance through the prescribed process.
• Scope: This scheme is applicable for students of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts, who passed their Intermediate examination in May 2015.
• Eligibility: Should have appeared for Intermediate examination in any of the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh in March 2015 and passed Intermediate Examination in May 2015. Should have got admission in any Degree College in Andhra Pradesh..
Common Terms:
• The student and his parents should belong to Brahmin community and reside in Andhra Pradesh.
• Annual income of Parents / Guardian should not be more than Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty thousand only).
• Should not have availed himself/ herself any amount under any other Government scheme for the same purpose.
Last date for receiving online applications shall be 6 pm on 31 July 2015.
Selection process:
• Scrutinising, short-listing and finalisation of applicants shall be done by the State Level Committee (SLC), giving priority to the following categories:
o Orphan
o Single mother
o Physically challenged
o Girl student
o Economically very poor
• One time financial assistance will be credited online to the SB Accounts of selected applicants on or before 15 August 2015.
• Beneficiaries will not exceed 10% of total from any district as far as possible.
• State Level Committee is authorised to make exceptions in the eligibility / selection process and their decision will be final.
