Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014
The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct Common Admission Test 2014 (CAT 2014) during a 2-day testing window (4 sessions) on 16th & 22nd November, 2014. CAT 2014 will be conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programs of IIMs. These programs are:

B. Fellow Programmes in Management (FPM) [equivalent to Ph.D.] of IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, IIM Kashipur, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, RGIIM Shillong, IIM Tiruchirappalli, IIM Udaipur and EFPM programme of IIM Kashipur and IIM Raipur.
Separate advertisements will appear for the Fellow Programme of each institute as well as PGP-ABM of IIM Ahmedabad, PGPEM and PGPPM of IIM Bangalore, PGP-Mumbai, PGP-UAE & EPGP of IIM Indore, EPGPM of IIM Kashipur, PGP-ABM & PGPSM of IIM Lucknow, PGPWE of IIM Raipur, PGDHRM of IIM Ranchi, PGPEX of RGIIM Shillong, PGPBM & PGPHRM of IIM Tiruchirappalli. Before a prospective candidate makes a decision to appear for CAT 2014, he/she must visit the websites and/or read programme advertisements of the concerned IIM and specific programmes to ensure which programmes they want to apply for, eligibility requirements and admission processes.

CAT2014 ELIGIBILITY: A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also be referred to as Persons With Disability (PWD) categories), awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
A candidate can appear for CAT2014 only once during the 2-day testing window (4 sessions).
RESERVATIONS: As per Government of India requirements, 15% of the seats are reserved for SC and 7.5% for ST candidates. For Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “non-creamy” layer (NC-OBC) 27% of the seats are reserved. For an updated central list of state-wise OBCs eligible for availing the benefit of reservation and information in respect of the creamy layer visit the website www.ncbc.nic.in.
PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES: The registration fee is Rs. 1600 for General and NC-OBC candidates and Rs. 800 for SC/ST/PWD (DA) candidates, which is to be paid online at the time of registration. The details will be available on www.iimcat.ac.in.
REGISTRATION FOR CAT2014: The registration window opens on 6th August, 2014 and will close on 30th September, 2014. The details about the registration process will be available on CAT 2014 website www.iimcat.ac.in.
TEST CITIES: There are 99 test cities. The details about the test sites spread across 99 test cities will be available on www.iimcat.ac.in from 16th Oct, 2014 and the name of the test site will be indicated in her/his Admit Card.
CAT2014 SCORES: A candidate’s CAT 2014 score card will be made available at the www.iimcat.ac.in and individual information will not be senLThe CAT results will be declared during 3rd week of December, 2014. CAT 2014 score will remain valid till December 31, 2015. The CAT 2014 candidates’scores will be made available till December 31,2015. Subsequent to that date no queries related to issuance of CAT 2014 score cards will be entertained.
