Pre-Ph.D. ADMISSION NOTICE

Applications in prescribed forms are invited from the eligible candidates for provisional admission to the Pre-Ph.D. programme in the following departments of the University:

Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed the PG examination in the concerned /allied subject with 55% marks or above /B Grade in the seven point scale or above (50% marks for SC/ST) and those who have appeared the qualifying examination and waiting for results are eligible to apply for provisional admission into Pre-Ph.D. Programme. The number of vacancies will be determined at the time of provisional registration. Only those candidates who successfully complete the Pre-Ph.D. course work with a minimum of B Grade in the 7-point scale will be eligible for registration to the Pli.D. programme. University Fellowships, wherever applicable, will be given with effect from the date of Ph.D. Registration.
Prescribed application form will be available in the Cash Counter of the University on payment of Rs.300/- only in the cash upto 2.00 p.m. on all working days or by sending a Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- only drawn in favour of the Registrar, Manipur University, Imphal – 795003 payable at the SBI, MU Campus Branch (Code No. 5320) along with a self addressed envelope of 28cm x 15cm with postal stamp worth Rs.20/-. SC/ST/PWD(Persons with disabilities) candidates can obtain the application form on payment of Rs 200/- only. Reservation of seats for different categories candidates shall be made as per the norms of the Government of India.
Application forms will also be available on Manipur University Website (www.manipuruniv.ac.in). In such case, the applicant has to enclose a Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- (Rs.200/- for ST/SC/PWD candidates), drawn as specified above, with the duly filled up application form.
The application forms completed in all respects may be submitted to the departments concerned. Non-Net Fellowship will not be entitled to the scholars registered under the Supervisor of affiliated Colleges/Inslitules.
