INFORMATION BULLETIN ABOUT MODEL SCHOOLS ADMISSION TEST-2024
194 Model Schools are established in Educationally Backward Mandals in Telangana State to cater to the needs of students of those Educational Backward Mandals by providing free quality education by highly qualified teachers in English Medium from Classes VI to X and Intermediate.
Salient features of Model Schools
1. No fee will be collected from students.
2. The Medium of instruction is English
3. Pucca buildings and Labs.
4. Supply of free text books to all students from Classes VI to X and Intermediate.
5. Mid-Day Meals for all students from Classes VI to X.
6. Supply of free Uniforms for students up to X Class.
7. Hostel facility for Girl students up to 100 students.
8. Availability of Science & Computer Laboratories, School Library and Sport Facility.
9. Seats will be filled up as per merit in Admission Test following Rule of Reservation as stipulated in G.O.Ms.No.24 Secondary Education -Prog.-II Dept., dt. 10.06.2016.
10. Free coaching for Competitive examinations is provided.
Number of Seats:
a. Each class is having sanctioned strength of 100 running in two sections in Class VI.
b. The mode of admission for all classes is through Admission Test only and lateral entry in to Classes VII to X is subject to availability of vacant seats at the time of admission.

1. The Question Paper booklet will be based on 5th Class syllabus and objective type with multiple choice answers.
2. Mathematics and E.V.S. sections are in bilingual (Telugu & English).

Mathematics, General Science and Social Studies are in bilingual (Telugu & English).
Age Criteria:
VI Class – Candidate should have completed 10 years of age as on 31st August, 2024 of the Academic year 2024-25 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2014(10 years) & 31.08.2009(15 years)).
VII Class – Candidate should have completed 11 years of age as on 31st August, 2024 of the Academic year 2024-25 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2013(11 years) & 31.08.2008(16 years))
VIII Class – Candidate should have completed 12 years of age as on 31st August, 2024 of the Academic year 2024-25 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2012(12 years) & 31.08.2007(17 years))
IX Class – Candidate should have completed 13 years of age as on 31st August, 2024 of the Academic year 2024-25 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2011(13 years) & 31.08.2006(18 years))
X Class – Candidate should have completed 14 years of age as on 31st August, 2024 of the Academic year 2024-25 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2010(14 years) & 31.08.2005(19 years))
Duration of Examination: 2 Hours (Objective Type).
Procedure for submission of Online Applications:
Students after satisfying the above conditions, have to pay fees through Mee-seva, online centers with particulars and obtain General number.
Mere obtaining general number will not be considered unless he/she submits the online application. The general number is only an evidence of payment of examination fee. After obtaining general number they have to submit online application to http://telanganams.cgg.gov.in/ (online).
The list of Model Schools and application formats are available in website http://telanganams.c.g.crov.in/ and the same may be downloaded.
Center for conducting examinations will be at Schools at respective Mandals (Name of the Center will be printed in the Hall Ticket).
Hall Tickets can be downloaded online as per general (reference) number allotted to the candidates (as per schedule indicated above).
Note: Hall Tickets have to be downloaded from website and no physical Hall Tickets will be dispatched by post.
Selection procedure:
Selections are made strictly as per merit list (marks obtained) and Rule of Reservation
as stipulated in G.O.Ms.No.24 Secondary Education (Prog.-11) Dept., dt.10.06.2016.
Rule of Reservation:
i. 15% and 10% seats in each class shall be reserved for candidates belonging to the SCs and STs respectively.
ii. 29% of the seats in each class shall be reserved for BCs and shall be allocated among the five groups of BCs as shown below:
a) Group-A 7%
b) Group-B 10%
c) Group-C 1%
d) Group-D 7%
e) Group-E 4%
iii. Physically Challenged students: 3% (In the reservation group of the students).
iv. EWS(Economically Weaker Section) Students: As per G.O.Ms.No.244, GAD(Ser.D) Dept., Dt:24.08.2021 EWS students who are not covered under the Scheme of Reservation for SCS, STs and BCs shall get 10% reservation other than subject to submission of Income Tax Certificate issued by the Tahsildar at the time of finalizing the admission at School Level.
v. 33.33% seats shall be reserved for Girls in all categories as indicated in Clause 4(vii) of G.O.Ms.No.24 Secondary Education (Prog.-II) Dept., dt.10.06.2016.
vi. If sufficient number of candidates of any particular category are not available to fill up the seats reserved for that group, they may be filled up by suitable candidates as indicated in Clause 4(x) of the above G.O.
vii. Remaining seats will be filling with open category students.
viii. Each of the Classes VI to X has two sections with an intake of 50 per section. While admitting the Students, the Class shall be taken 100 Students per class for Classes VI to X. Admission for Class VI will be conducted for 100 intake and vacant seats will be filling for Class VII to X as on the date of Telangana State Model Schools Admission Test/opting of schools.
ix. Each Model School will be considered as a unit for admission. Local status of the candidate:
To decide the local status of the students who apply for admission into Class VI and for
vacant seats in classes VII to X, the following criteria will be considered.
i. Students of Erstwhile Mandal by virtue of domicile (nativity) where the Model School is located.
(OR)
ii. Students who have studied one of the two previous classes in Govt./Recognized Schools in the Mandal where the Model School is located are to be considered as eligible for Admission Test.
Example: For admission into Class VI the candidate should have studied either class IV or class V in the Mandal where the Model School is located. For admission into Class VII either V or VI, for admission into Class VIII either VI or VII, for admission into Class IX either VII or VIII likewise. In case if the seats are not filled by the students in the Merit list then non locals in the Merit list will be considered for admission.
Important instructions to students while filling the application format:
• Submission of wrong online information will lead to cancellation of admission without any notice.
• Caste and Date of Birth Certificates should be submitted to the Principal at the time of admission.
• Before submitting online application a sample application format may be filled and furnish correct information.
• Keep pass port size photo readily for pasting on the Hall Ticket.
• Utmost care should be taken while filling the online application. The candidate is responsible for any mistakes committed by him/her in online application and no further corrections shall be entertained.
• Mere submission of application from (or) appearing for admission test will not confirm any right to the student for admission into Model School.
