The following are the regulations for admission of students into Master of Public Health course in Colleges affiliated to KNR University of Health Sciences for the academic session 2025-26.
Number of Seats: The number of seats available for admission into Master of Public Health (MPH) Course for the academic year 2025-26 in the following colleges.

3 . ELIGIBILITY: The Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria as below:

| c) | Educational Qualification | The candidate should have passed :
a) Bachelor Degree with an aggregate of at least 50% in any discipline from a recognized University in the state of Telangana. Provided the University is recognized by the University Grants Commission and the Degree awarding University must be member of Association of Indian Universities. If the Degree is acquired from Distance Education Mode it must be recognized by Distance Education council (DEC) besides recognition by the UGC and AIU b) The percentage will be calculated from the total marks of 1st , 2nd & 3rd year under 10+2+3 scheme including languages and other subjects. c) Foreign candidates other than Medical / Para Medical applying for MPH course should submit equivalence certificate from Council of Higher Education Andhra Pradesh / Council of Higher Education Telangana, Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, Ministry of External affairs Government of India, New Delhi (they must fulfill requirements of Presidential order and GOP No. 646 dated 10th July, 1979) d) Foreign candidates of Medical / Para Medical applying for MPH course under Foreign Nationals Quota should submit equivalence certificate by the University of Health Sciences and temporary registration for the duration of Post Graduate training from the respective Councils i.e., MCI, DCI, CCIM, CCH, INC etc., e) All other Candidates should be Indian National and should satisfy Local or Non-Local status as per G.O.Ms. No. 151, HM&FW (C1) Dept., dated 28-10-2024 |
| d) | Entrance Test for both Competent Authority Quota (CQ) & Management Quota (MQ) | Must have secured not less than 40% marks in the Entrance Test. In case of SC and ST candidates, minimum marks shall be not less than 30% marks out of 100 Marks. |
| e) | Physical fitness | The candidate shall be medically fit. |
- Seats are reserved for different categories as follows: 15% for SC, 10% for ST, and 29% for BC candidates, with further division among BC groups. Also, around one-third seats are reserved for women under horizontal reservation.
- If there are no eligible candidates in a particular reserved category, those seats will be shifted to another category. For example, ST seats can go to SC, and if still not filled, they will be treated as open category seats. Similarly, if BC candidates are not available, seats may be given to other BC groups, and if still vacant, they will be moved to open competition.
- Candidates claiming reservation must submit a proper caste certificate in the prescribed format. If the certificate is not correct, they will not be considered under the reserved category. Their social status will also be verified as per government rules.
- For local reservation, all convener quota seats are meant for Telangana local candidates. A local candidate is someone who has studied in Telangana for at least 4 consecutive academic years before appearing for the qualifying exam.
- All 33 districts of Telangana are treated as one local area for admissions. A candidate is considered local if they meet the above study requirement in the state.
DURATION OF THE COURSE: The duration of the course shall be two years with four semesters of 6 months each, including two months internship during the 2nd semester. During Internship, the students undergo 2 months field training and submit internship report. The dissertation will be undertaken in 4th semester and report shall be submitted.
APPLICATIONS: the online application form will be available on the website knruhs.telangana.gov.in from 24.03.2026 , 10.00 A.M to 01 .04.2026 upto 1.00 P.M.
