194 Model Schools are established in Educationally Backward Mandals in Telangana State to cater to the needs of students of those Educational Backward Mandals by providing free quality education by highly qualified teachers in English Medium from Classes VI to X and Intermediate.
Number of Seats:
- Each class is having sanctioned strength of 100 running in two sections in Class VI.
- The mode of admission for all classes is through Admission Test only and lateral entry in to Classes VII to X is subject to availability of vacant seats at the time of admission.

Rs.125/- for EWS, BC, SC, ST & PwD students and Rs.200/- for OC students.

Age Criteria:
VI Class – Candidate should have completed 10 years of age as on 31st August, 2026 of the Academic year 2026-27 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2016(10 years) & 31.08.2011(15 years))
VII Class – Candidate should have completed 11 years of age as on 31st August, 2026 of the Academic year 2026-27 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2015(11 years) & 31.08.2010(16 years))
VIII Class Candidate should have completed 12 years of age as on 31st August, 2026 of the Academic year 2026-27 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2014(12 years) & 31.08.2009(17 years))
IX Class – Candidate should have completed 13 years of age as on 31st August, 2026 of the Academic year 2026-27 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2013(13 years) & 31.08.2008(18 years))
X Class – Candidate should have completed 14 years of age as on 31st August, 2026 of the Academic year 2026-27 in which he/she is seeking admission. (i.e. DOB Between:31.08.2012(14 years) & 31.08.2007(19 years))
Procedure for submission of Online Applications: Students after satisfying the above conditions, have to pay fees through online.
The list of Model Schools and online applications will be available in website from 28-01-2026 to 28-02-2026.
Center for conducting examinations will be at Schools at respective Mandals (Name of the Center will be printed in the Hall Ticket).
Hall Tickets can be downloaded online as per journal (reference) number allotted to the candidates (as per schedule indicated above).
Note: Hall Tickets have to be downloaded from website and no physical Hall Tickets will be dispatched by post.
Selection Procedure: Selections are made strictly as per merit list (marks obtained) and Rule of Reservation as stipulated in G.O.Ms.No.24 Secondary Education (Prog.-II) Dept., dt.10.06.2016.
