National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Society) was set up in the year 1982 by Govt. of India as an autonomous body for coordinated growth and development of hospitality management education in the country. Initially, the Council was set up in the name of the National Board of Studies in Food Management, Catering & Nutrition under the administrative control of the Ministry of Agriculture (Dept. Of Food) and subsequently it was transferred to the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India in the year 1984 with renaming it as National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology. The office of the Council is situated at A-34, Sector-62, Noida (U.P.).

Program Offered
The B.Sc. HHA program equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the hospitality sector leading to higher level managerial positions with career progression. The program involves operational areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping. It also provides managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy Food Safety & Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Revenue Management, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Management. Option of pursuing vegetarian program is also available in all the affiliated Institute of Hotel Management. This Program is recognised by Jawaharlal Nehru University , New Delhi to award Degree to the passout students.

UG PROGRAM
Program: B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration
Age Limit: No Age Bar
Minimum Eligibility: Pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board/ Institution with English as one of the subjects. Those appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply on a provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination is not submitted at the time of admission or latest by 30th September of admission year.

NCHM JEE
The NCHM JEE is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), under the Ministry of Education, Govt of India which is conducting major all India Examination through Computer Based Test(CBT).

Admission is done on the merit of All India Rank in NCHM JEE. After that, a Centralized web based on-line Counseling is conducted on all India basis and seat/Institute is alloted on merit cum choice basis. Eligible candidates may register and fill l their choices on the portal. The NCHM JEE will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) in the following pattern:
