Central Institute of Tool Design is a premier Institute in Asia to provide specialized training in tool engineering. The objective of the Institute is to meet the requirements of the Industries in the field of Tool Design and manufacturing and to train the technical personnel in these fields. The Institute was established in the year 1968 by the Govt. of India with assistance of UNDP and ILO. Applications are invited for admission into the following course commencing from September 2010.
Post Graduate Diploma in CAD / CAM for Tool Engineering (PGDCTE)
Duration: 9 months + 6 months project
Eligibility: B.E. (Mech.) / B.E. (Prod.) or recognized equivalent qualification.
No of seats: 40
Course Fee: Rs: 66,000/- can be paid in 3 installments
1). Course Contents CAD/CAM: AutoCAD, Pro/E (Part Modeling, Surfacing, Assembly, Drafting, Sheet metal, Mould, Mechanica, Manufacturing), CATIA (Part Modeling, Surfacing, Assembly, Drafting), UG (Part Modeling, Surfacing, Assembly, Drafting & Manufacturing), Ansys (Structural & Thermal), Hypermesh (Shell Mesh & Solid Mesh), DelCAM (Power Shape & Power Mill), CNC Programming.
Tool Engg: GD & T, Design Practice, Materials & Heat Treatment, Metrology, Press tools, Plastic Mould Tools, Die Casting Dies, Cutting Tools, Jigs & Fixtures.
2). Mode of Selection: First come First served basis.
3). Course Commencement: 01-09-2010.
