Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering of IIT Kharagpur with their proven expertise in data analytics has come forward to train interested participants.
Objectives of the Course
To build competency of the participants in
- Fundamentals of data analytics and its applications.
- Descriptive, predictive and prescriptive data analytics.
- Exposure to practical problems and their solutions using SAS.
Course Content

| Statistics Module | Descriptive Statistical Measures, Probability Distributions and Data Modeling, Sampling and Estimation, Multiple and Multivariate Regression, Principal Component Analysis, Factor Analysis and structural equation modeling |
| Optimization Module | Linear Optimization, Integer Optimization, Nonlinear and Non-Smooth Optimization, Optimization Models with Uncertainty |
| Decision Making Module | Statistical Decision Making, Optimization Based Decision Making, Decision Making with Risk and Uncertainty |

Course Schedule
- 9 am to 6 pm with 2-hour lunch break on each day.
Training Methods
- The training methods consist of lecture sessions, hands-on-exercises, discussion on cases and live problems.
Eligibility
- Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Executives, Engineers, and Administrators from all industrial and consulting firms; scientists and research scholars from research laboratories; and teachers and research scholars from academic institutes.
Course Fee
- The fee for the three-day programme is Rs. 30,000/- per participant.
- Payment is to be made through a bank draft drawn in favour of “CEP-STC, IIT Kharagpur” payable at Kharagpur.The course fee includes course materials, and participation fee.
Accommodation
- The participants will be provided AC accommodation in the Technology Guest House on payment basis.
