ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)] – 2011 Notification

Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) for Diploma Holders & B.Sc. Graduates with Mathematics Notification (Conducted on behalf of APSCHE)

Applications are invited from Diploma Holders in various branches of Engineering namely, Civil / Electrical / Mechanical (including Automobile, Packaging Technology, Printing Technology & Foot Wear Technology) / Computer Engineering (including Special Diploma) / Electronics and Communication (including Special Diploma / Special Diploma in TV and Sound Technology) Diploma in Bio-Medical Engineering (including Special Diploma)/ Mining / Chemical (including Sugar Technology / Ceramic Technology / Textile Technology / Leather Technology) / Metallurgy / Electronics and Instrumentation (including Special Diploma) / Bio-Technology / Pharmacy and B.Sc, Graduates with Mathematics for the Common Entrance Test:
1. For Lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular B.E./B.Tech. Courses in All India Council for Technical Education approved Un-Aided Private Professional Institutions,
2. For Admission through Common Entrance Test into 1st year regular B.E./B.Tcch. Courses in University Engineering Colleges for the seats specifically earmarked for Diploma holders,
3. For Lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular B.Pharmacy Courses in both University and private Un-Aided professional Institutions approved by Pharmacy Council of India,

for the academic year 2011-2012 to be conducted by the JNT University Hyderabad on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.24 Education (EC) Department. Dt. 18-03-2004, and its amendments.

As per the latest AICTE Approval Process Hand book – 2011-2012, eligibility criteria is revised as under for admission. “Candidates who obtained 50% (45% for reserved categories) of marks at the qualifying examination for both I) Diploma Holders and li) B.Sc Pass outs (passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject) are eligible”. However, candidates shall fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down in relevant G.Os at the time of admission

The prescribed application form along with instruction booklet containing information regarding eligibility criteria, syllabi etc., for the common entrance test can be obtained in person on payment of Rs. 300/- from designated Main Post Offices from 21.02.2011 to 27.04.2011 during counter working hours.

The filled in application form with necessary enclosures can be submitted to the CONVENER, ECET [ FDH & B.Sc. (Maths) ] -2011, ECET Office, Room No 305, Administrative Building, JNTUH Campus, JNT University Hyderabad, Kukatpally. Hyderabad-500085 in person or by Registered Post/Speed Post so as to reach him on or before 08.04.2011, 5 p.m. without late fee. The late fee in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Secretary, APSCHE, Hyderabad must be enclosed to the filled in application form. From 28th April, 2011 the applications can be obtained from the ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Maths)]-2011 Convener’s Office.

Last date for receipt of filled in application forms without late fee: 08.04.2011, 5 P.M.
Last date for sale and receipt of application with late fee of Rs.500/- : 18.04.2011, 5 P.M.
Last date for sale and receipt of application with late fee of Rs.1,000/-: 27.04.2011, 5 P.M.
Last date for sale and receipt of application with late fee of Rs.5,000/- at Convener’s Office only: 09.05.2011, 5 P.M.
Date and Time of Entrance Test (10.00 am to 01.00 pm): 20.05.2011 (Friday)
