The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), an autonomous body under Department of Space was formed in 2007. IIST was set up with the primary objective of generating high quality human resources to meet the requirements of DOS/ISRO. IIST presently functions from a 100 acre campus at Valiamala, located about 18 Km from Thiruvananthapuram city. IIST offers undergraduate programmes, with specific focus on space science & technology, in the following three branches:
• B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering
• B.Tech in Avionics
• B.Tech in Physical Sciences

Applying for admission to the above B.Tech programmes involves the following:
(i) Online Registration at http://admission2013.iist.ac.in (Last Date: 10 July, 2013 up to 11.30PM )
(ii) Downloading of Bank Challan form for payment of application fee (Last date: 10 July, 2013)
(iii) Payment of application fee in Bank: (Last date: 12 July, 2013)
(iv) Online updating of the fee payment details (Last date: 15 July, 2013)
(v) Online updating the JEE(Adv.) marks and All India JEE(Main) marks/rank (Last date:15 July, 2013)

ADMISSION RANK LIST & COUNSELLING
The Admission Rank list will be prepared for the candidates who have applied online and satisfied the eligibility criteria defined in the Admission Information Brochure. This Admission Rank list will be based on the All India Rank List (including category rank list) to be published by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), giving 60% weightage of score in the Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main)-2013, and 40% of normalized score in Class-12th or other qualifying examination.

The Admission Rank list and counselling procedures shall be published in the website http://admission2013.iist.ac.in on 17 July, 2013.

Counselling Dates: 27.07.2013 for Common Rank List & 28.07.2013 for 0BC/SC/ST/PD Rank List
