NOTIFICATION

Nitte University will be conducting Nitte University All India Entrance Test for Under Graduate Medical and Dental Courses, NUUGET-2014, on Monday, 12-05-2014 at the under mentioned Test Centres for candidates seeking admission to M.B.B.S. and B.D.S. in its constituent colleges, namely K.S. Hegde Medical Academy and A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, for the academic year 2014-15. Eligible candidates desiring to appear for the Entrance Test may apply by downloading the application form from our website www.nitte.edu.in and by paying the registration fee of Rs.1000/- by way of Demand Draft favouring Nitte University payable at Mangalore.

The last date of receipt of application for NUUGET- 2014 by the Registrar, Nitte University, Mangalore – 575 018 is 03-05-2014.

Test Centres:  Bengaluru /Chandigarh/ Ernakulam/ Mangalore/ Mumbai /New Delhi

Test Timings: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm

[Note:The selection of candidates, however, is dependent on the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court on NEET.]

Introduction: Students’ admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the constituent colleges, namely, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore and A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, respectively, during the year 2014-15offered by the Nitte University is based on inter-se Merit in the All India Entrance Test for UG courses,NUUGET – 2014 conducted by the Nitte University.

Eligibility: Candidates who fulfill the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the Entrance Test, namely:
1. A candidate who has passed the Second year Pre – University or 12th standard or equivalent examination not earlier to 2012with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. However in case of SC/ST candidates it is 40%. Candidates whose 10+2 results are not yet announced may also apply. However they shall submit the attested copies of the markscard before 26.6.2014 so that they can be considered for counseling, if eligible as per the above criteria.
2. Must be 17 or more years of age as on 31-12-2014.
3. Must be a citizen of India.

Entrance Test Fee: The candidates are required to pay the registration fee of Rs.1000/-(Non-Refundable) through Demand Draft in favour of NITTE UNIVERSITY, payable at MANGALORE.

Intake: MBBS (4 / years + 1 year Internship) -150 Seats BDS (4 years +1 year Internship) – 100 Seats

Submission: The filled application with all relevant documents should be sent to the Registrar, Nitte University, Deralakatte, Mangalore (D.K) – 575 018, Karnataka, India by Speed Post so as to reach before the last date or may be handed over in person at the University Office on any working day before the last date(03- 05-2014). Candidates should superscribe the sealed envelope carrying application form : “Application for NUUGET-2014”. Test Admission Ticket (TAT) for the Entrance Test will be sent by post to the postal address furnished by the candidate in the TAT.
