Details: Scholarships for professional courses by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to provide assistance to SC/ST candidates for PG studies in a professional subject at recognized Indian universities.
Scholarship Amount: Assistance is available at Rs. 5000 per month for MTech and contingency grant of Rs. 15000 per annum and other courses, Rs. 3000 per month and contingency grant of Rs. 10000 per annum.
Eligibility: SC/ST candidates who have obtained graduate degree in relevant subject and obtained admission at the PG level for regular fulltime course in any professional subject in a recognized university. Upper age limit for males applicants is 45 years as on July 1, 2008 and 50 years for females.
