Applications are invited from Indian Nationals fulfilling the following eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Sc (Nursing) Course for the session 2024-25 at Assam Oil College of Nursing at IOCL (AOD), Digboi. Only female candidates meeting the following criteria may apply.

# 1 (One) position reserved for PH (OH) category in the course for candidates with locomotor disability to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity. 06 (six) No. of seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Digboi Legislative Constituency (DLC), candidates claiming reservations shall be required to produce valid supporting document.

COURSE DETAILS: B. Sc (Nursing) course will be a full-time regular course for a duration of 4 (four) years.

MODE OF ADMISSION & RECOGNITION: The students of B. Sc (Nursing) will get admission to Assam Oil College of Nursing (AOCN). AOCN is affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati and the course is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

Minimum Educational Qualification: Selection process: Only female candidates are eligible for admission. Candidates shall have to apply online with Common Entrance Examination (CEE-2024) Roll No. and with total marks obtained in CEE- 2024. The candidates will have to upload the following documents in our AOCN online portal.

1. Candidate must have Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or Equivalent Examination from recognized Board/Council/University with English as one of the subjects and securing at least 50% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General Category candidates, 45% for PwBD candidates and 40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST(P) / ST(H) category without grace marks.
2. 10th Pass/Matriculation certificate issued by the concerned education board as proof of date of birth. No other document will be accepted for verification of date of birth.
3. SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/ EWS-Income & Asset Certificate by reserved category candidates in the prescribed format issued by Competent Authority.
4. Disability Certificate, if any in the prescribed format issued by Competent Authority.
5. Class X & XII marksheet and certificate issued by the concerned board.
6. Conversion certificate from CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade to percentage of marks, if applicable, from concerned board.
7. Income Certificate (FY 2023-24) issued by Competent Authority. Issued on or after 01.04.2024.
8. Candidates seeking reservations under Digboi Legislative Constituency are required to produce Voter Identity card of self or parent.
9. CEE Score card 2024.

Only 30 (thirty) eligible candidates meeting desired parameters shall be called for document verification followed by medical examination. In case of tie (two or more) in total marks in the CEE written test result and weightage marks of Income certificate, the date of birth (senior by age) shall be the factor to be considered (in that order only) to place a candidate’s rank in the merit list.

Candidates possessing professional qualifications/ training/ course such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA etc. or any such equivalent qualification shall not be eligible.

Age Limit: Minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31.12.2024). The upper age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/ PwBD candidates as per presidential directives. Marksheet / certificate issued by a Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation (Class-X) examination shall be the only acceptable document in support of proof of age.

Relaxation in upper age upto 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBCNCL candidates considered against reserved positions will be allowed.

Relaxation in upper age upto 5 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates irrespective of reservation of seats for them.

Filling up of seats is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement, if some of these seats are not filled due to unsuitability/insufficient in number of candidates.

The decision of the Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection and cancellation of the selection process etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Only those candidates who are declared fit in medical examination shall be considered for admission.

Stipend & Training Details: The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1^st year – Rs. 2,800/-;   2^nd year – Rs. 3,000/-; 3^rd year – Rs. 3,200/-; and for 4^th year – Rs. 3,400/-.
