Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), a UGC recognised statutory university, is a major educational and research institution of Reliance ADAG. The Institute is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following courses starting July, 2010.
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM
B Tech (Information and Communication Technology)
Eligibility: Candidates should
• be a pass in the 12th standard or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science, be born on or after 01 October 1 985.
• appear in AIEEE 2010 examination being conducted by CBSE on 25 April 2010.
• submit a separate application to DA-IICT in the prescribed Application Form.
Selection Process: Short-listed candidates will be called for counselling at DA-IICT and selection for admission will be based on the All India Rank of AIEEE 2010. Details are available at DA-IICT website.
A limited number of seats will be offered through a separate channel called ‘Direct Admission of Foreign and NRI Students’ (DAFS) to Non Resident Indians, Foreign Nationals and Persons of Indian Origin.
How to Apply: The DA-IICT Application Form will be made available through the following channels:
- At selected Branches of Axis Bank (formerly UTI Bank), as given below, by paying Rs. 1000/-.
- Sending a demand draft of Rs. 1050/- to the Institute. The draft should be in favour of DA-IICT and payable at Ahmedabad.
- Apply online at http://www.daiict.ac.in by making an online payment (through credit card) of Rs. 1000/-.
Scholarships: DA-IICT offers merit and merit-cum-means scholarships for B Tech students. In each category up to five students are awarded scholarships equivalent to full tuition fees.
POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS
M. Tech (Information and Communication Technology)
Eligibility: BE/B.Tech/M.Sc. in ICT/CS/IT/EE/ECE/I&C or equivalent
M. Sc. (Information Technology)
Eligibility: Graduates of any discipline as given in the website.
M. Sc. (ICT in Agriculture and Rural Development)
Eligibility: Bachelor in Agriculture or allied disciplines.
M. Des. (Communication Design)
Eligibility: 4 years degree/Diploma after 10+2
Doctor of Philosophy
Eligibility: M. Tech/M. Phil/BE/B.Tech/M.Sc/MCA/MS or equivalent
A minimum 60% (except M Des for which it is 55%) marks at the bachelor’s level are required. Please see details at the website.
Selection Process: Admission to M Tech (ICT) program will be based on valid GATE Score. Candidates for other PG programs will be selected through an entrance test and/or interview at select cities. Detailed procedure is available at DA-IICT website.
How to Apply: A candidate can submit an application either online (preferably) or offline. The application fee is Rs. 1000/- (online) and Rs. 1050/- if a candidate downloads the form and sends the hard-copy. In both cases, the draft needs to be sent by courier/registered post.
Financial Assistantships: Candidates admitted to M Tech would be eligible to get Teaching Assistantship of Rs. 7500/- per month. Candidates admitted to PhD program will be eligible for a stipend varying from Rs. 1 2000/- to Rs. 25000/- per month.
